Staff of Battle: 31/37 = .838 ratio
Staff of Battle w/ FBSS: 31/31 = 1 Ratio
Imbued Fighters Staff: 38/40 = .95 ratio

**Calculation for delay reduction for FBSS:
FBSS Haste: 21% = .21
New Staff of Battle Delay = 37 * (1 / (1 + 0.21)) = 30.57.
I don't know if delay is rounded up or floored. I assumed the worst case above.

Upgrade to Imbued Fighters Staff:
.95 - .838
---------- = 13.36% increase in DPS
.838

Upgrade to FBSS:
1 - .838
---------- = 19.33% increase in DPS
.838

However, this is disregarding STR and AC bonus from TBB. I'm not sure how to factor in these benefits into a comparable form.

Think about it like this, Ard:

Staff of battle + fbss = 31/30

IFS + tbb = 38/40 + 8 ac + 15 str

Peacebringer + tbb = 28/30 + 8 ac + 15 str


You'll want an fbss eventually, but for right now it doesn't look like it is any better than going with either the ifs or the peacebringer.

Peacebringer is nearly the same as a Tstaff until you're high enough to proc Tstaff.


Peacebringer + Haste = win for the money

Wu's Quivering Staff would be an upgrade for just 500pp. And then you could still afford the FBSS.

Are you in a guild that ever raids Plane of Sky? If not, being 46, I'd recommend following a guild in to Plane of Sky and asking if you could loot a Belt of Tranquility that is rotting. Get a weapon and haste? Win, win, win!

Is that really a viable option? How often do guilds raid Plane of Sky, and isn't a key required to enter?

Often, and you port up the same way you port to hate. Any particular class's haste belts aren't super common, but if a guild is doing 3 or 4 or 5 islands in a single raid there's a good chance one would drop.
