Sorry but instanced bosses are harder than the bosses on EQ. Instanced requires a large percentage of the raid force to know what the hell they're doing and execute things at the proper time. EQ bosses require you to bring enough numbers for it to die quickly or before your raid force wipes.

Please continue your poopsocking. Your drama, anger, and tears continue to provide the very best for this server.
Yes we all know the differences in raid content between EQ and other games, and they are all irrelevant to this discussion. Obviously those of us here chose this game because its set of challenges appeal to us more. What's your point?

Put the entire server on full rotation. It was done on karana on live for many years and worked.

Simply put. No drama. No problems.
Dear Deano:

Hi.

Love,

Aerah.

PS - 50+ week VS rotations blew. Karana sucked after Eternal Wrath left until Nightbane formed from the cream of SF/Valoran/Paralax.

Maybe you should start by looking at the difference in raid content between EQ and P99.

This is another reminder to me why I am happy not to be anywhere near endgame.

Here's the thing... You either have enough content or you don't. Instancing solves a problem only if there's not enough content for the population. I actually mention this in my "Raiding" signature link.

To me it has looked for a long time like there's not enough endgame content for raiders. This "competition" is just a sign that there's not enough out there for everyone. It's not healthy, imho. It causes tension.

My honest opinion is that classic, for the most part, is a levellers game.

Rotations worked on Karana as long as guilds abided by them. When rogue guilds such as Shattering Steel and later Nightbane decided to defy the rotations is when the server started descending into chaos. The douchebag quotient (to borrow a term from a friend) is so high on P99 that a rotation like we had would never last.

Rotations only work while the guilds that have the most power abide by them....which could change at any moment.

I'm more for the idea of spawning all equal time named at the same time...ALL 3 day spawns spawn at the same time...ALL 7 days, ALL 9 days etc.... Give it variance as well, just ensure they all spawn together, and then let the race begin....

Very few of "us" did, actually.

The server is, frankly, better off without you. If you actually think "everyone run to X, mob spawned" is a challenge, you may not quite be ready to graduate to Play-Doh.

EQ has great content, but the people pretending that "competition" is sitting in a safe room afk and watching movies until their phone rings are all either crazy or stupid. They aren't completely insane like the people raging out over GM arbitration of their own self-imposed drama, but they're close.

If it was mobilization and speed to target; I'd agree with you. However, it also leads to training, loot stealing, KSing etc etc

You basically trade a bit organizational challenge for drama. In the end I don't know if that's even remotely worth it.

Organization is definitely a challenge.
