Here's my profile as a player: I love EQ - I especially love fighting over content / zone control with a guild/team. I don't love a long "classic" grind and never have. I also don't have as much free time as I did in 1999.

There are a lot of players in this boat.

We are already a niche (PvP players) of a niche (people that play emulated Everquest). "Long classic grind" is another inception layer on top of that. Can't people just play on blue1999 if they want that?

...I'll reiterate that reining casuals in should be the #1 focus. If they ever kick up the early exp curve and try switching on global chat, I'd wager anything that the population would grow.

Only a die-hard few are against this. Kicking up 1-20 xp and trying global chat wouldn't hurt anybody.

I'm level 50 and I missed out on both 25% xp bonuses. And I am all for up'in the ex about 20% more fulltime.

There isn't really anything wrong with the server. These devs wanted to make a classic server and they did. There was a lot of research, time and effort put into make it as close as possible. We all like this server over all others or we wouldn't be here. If any one person here got what they wanted and had a duplicate server with their rules, everyone would still be here.

And this is still Beta why? because of a chat channel and an exp bonus. I'm having trouble seeing where you're coming from. The Server runs great, and its plainly is a classic ruleset, what kind of changes are you actually suggesting?

I know you have trouble with reading comp, but no one is trashing the reputation. We're trying to improve it.

I agree up exp, global ooc for groups. Maybe release the planes soonish?
