What turkey of a cleric charges for a rez? Clerics can do well but not for a while. Easy to duo some cash camps like freeti and hiero. Fungi king with BP or vp staff. But leveling?? No game.

They don't need to charge do they? I assumed most people tipped anyway, I do.

When naked level 50-60s beg for rezzes on the other half of the world, you can usually name a price. If they're in the same zone or the next zone over, usually clerics just take tips.

As a level 17 enchanter i try to make money with wisp in WC. When they are all dead and that i am waiting for repop, i kill spiders and kodiak for silk and HQ pelt that sell well.

I agree with hailto, you're nutz if you think a cleric should stop what he is doing and rezz your butt for free. If he just happens to be standing over your corpse, then maybe, but even then you should offer a tip IMHO

As far as cash drops go, if you don't give them to the cleric at least have the decency to cash out and buy peridots to cover his costs. Even though an occasional cleric might exploit this, for the vast majority of clerics they just want to cover their costs.

I played one for years! Clerics are not the class to make for money making. You do end up making money in the endgame as a cleric just because you get more group invites than anyone else and being a cleric enables your group to do things that groups without clerics just cannot.

Not to derail the thread further, but as a cleric the way I decide whether I should be tipped or not is simple:

Why did I rez you? If it's because you sent me a tell, I think it's fair to expect a tip, but still don't get tips as often as I do. If I /ooc that I'm rezing before I head out, or you /ooc that you're looking for a rez, and I send you a tell? No tip necessary, that's a rez out of the goodness of my heart. No donation required or accepted even if offered.
