How do you play the game with the map covering your screen? EQ is pretty dependent on visual cues.

In Innothule Swamp and trying to get to Greater Faydark:

Pro-tip: killing blue orcs will affect your faction in Neriak, so don't kill them unless you want one less city for your evil self to be able to trade.

Also, good luck using the boat in Freeport unless you're high enough to invis and/or feign death. Make sure you jump off the boat in BBM instead of riding it through to the docks.

So, with no maps in game I'm fairly confused trying to find people to group and level.

This won't solve all your travel issues but it sure helps for finding your way around in zones like SolA.

It's a log parser that watches for /loc entries in your characters log file and then plots them on an image of the map of the zone you're in.

There is a discussion about whether a log-parser based approach to mapping logged /locs constitutes a violation of the server rules in this thread.

go down the list this generates and send tells to people who are on the list, tell them you're new and you need a port to GFay for free

receive port

ask them for a bind when you arrive
