Fuck bars. If you go, drink cheap. Otherwise you'll be spending 4 bucks a shot, and by 2 shots you coulda bought a bottle from the store yourself.

Or...if you aren't buying... then just about any german/belgium beer is fantastic. Or just read the descriptions on the liquor drinks (if they have a menu, most bars here do) and figure out what you like.

Either go strong or go cheap with quantity.

Keep away from bottles, drafts are cheaper. If you're planning to drink a lot, go with pitchers. If you're planning to drink liquor then it's whiskey all the way, most go for the jack n coke . If you're at a Chinese joint, let the Mai Tai flow down your gullet all night. Shots are overpriced and hardly ever worth it unless you're trying to get some broad wasted for devious reasons. Eh, other than the mai tai I stay away from mixed drinks. Ice and whiskey or flat American beer. I'ma bland bore. My wife sometimes has a drink called a grateful dead, seems to get her pretty in hole. You can make it a psychedelic grateful dead, they add even more booze to it.

On a serious note, when I turned 21 it started out with a couple 3 wise men on a farm

Three Wise Men On A Farm
1 shot Jack Daniel's® Tennessee whiskey
1 shot Jim Beam® bourbon whiskey
1 shot Yukon Jack® Canadian whisky
1 shot Wild Turkey® bourbon whiskey

Line up four shot glasses with a shot of each drink.

Original 3 Wise Men
Johnnie Walker
Jim Beam
Jack Daniel's
Add into a shot glass in equal parts.
