Why was that decision made? RZ wasn't coin loot only in 99.

They changed the loot rule on RZ about 1 year into classic on RZ, Alot of player quit RZ after the changes.I really feel a server should never change rules after it made and player join server on them rules, it's not fair to the people that put there time into playing on that server under them rule sets.Whatever Rogean and staff decide on R99 rule set im game as long as they dont change it afterward like RZ did..

Pretty sure there was 1 piece item loot through kunark. I do remember it being full loot at the very beginning but too many people cried and complained so they changed it to one item and nothing that is in bags.

Anyhow, I find myself not being as excited anymore. Part of the fun of rallos zek was taking something that someone spent days camping and the flipside to that, having heart palpitations as 10 people are chasing you after you just looted a GBS.. that feeling you get in your stomach knowing you might lose what you spent 3 days camping.

A classic red server doesn't have to adopt all of the rules of RZ. I'm not sure where people get this idea but it's silly. A classic red server just means that the PvE content will all be classic and that the PvP rules will probably be some hybrid of the rules of the various pvp servers that existed in the early days of eq. As fun as item loot is for some people, it's an absolute no-no with the eqemu pvp community the way it is (which is comprised almost entirely of griefers and shit heads who are unaffected by bad reputation). They're concerned about the population staying consistently high which just won't happen with item loot.
