That's his toilet, not a dish. The mud is 100% herbi-pesticide free organic orchid mix.

He's not in the wild, where he would feel at home, but he is also not crow food.

I'm doing my best to make him comfortable, but let's face it, any wild species (basically any pet besides a dog or cat) is never going to be 100% at ease in captivity. Toads (from what I've read and discussed with academics) also adapt more readily to captivity than many other types of animals.

Also, frogs don't give you warts.

Cows seem comfortable.

And bottlenose dolphins...but I think that's just because their mouths make it look like they are smiling.

Cows are in a constant state of terror broken only by glutting themselves endlessly.. Hardly the same thing.
