I didn't camp it on live. I'm not doing any research into how often he should spawn. I'm not adding any value to this thread. I just want to complain about how many g-d hours I've been at this stupid camp. I hate it.

But it's EQ, I should expect nothing less.

Edit: Apparently complaining about it is good luck. Took about 70 hours but I got him.

Ok a more concise look. Keep in mind that you can subtract probably 10 - 20 monsters as adds (I snare about 80% of the monsters at least)

I've only heard of 1 pained soul spawning in 3 days.

Some people spend 50-60 hours camping him. He is an extremely rare spawn. Keep at it.
