Any chanter who knows what to mez and when is already ahead of the curve on this server [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
You'll generally want to keep root and ae stun up (I often root mezzed mobs so I don't end up tanking them later with a warrior in the group). Keep a utility slot plus charm and tash, and then whatever spells are useful in that group. Maybe AE mez, maybe another AE stun or a slow.
Just by grouping, you should pick up the basic how-to of the class as long as you come in with some understanding of what all of the spells do. Most of the dungeuns before the mid 30s are easy enough that you can learn the class in peace and be ready for the more difficult camps later on.
Yeah AOE stun doesnt break mez sorry about that, I meant to type more there about memory blur and apparently didn't. (The stun adds hate, so don't AOE stun a mez'd mob you memory blurred).

Just practice charming. You will have to learn to use most of your skills to survive when charm breaks. You pull with tash, mez, charm, send pet, choke, when charm breaks you might have to aoe stun, then quickly mez, then recharm and root because you now have all the aggro.

Jboots or sow potions make things a lot easier, and a partner with snare and sow even better.

Thanks again for all of the other posts in here. It's been great reading them. I've been reading a lot of Enchanter stuff lately and I think it will be a more fun support role than just healing on my Cleric.
