Welcome! If you've been out for as long as you said, then you'll be happy once you jump on the server. It's great being able to return to those favorite newbie hunting grounds and actually see people running around killing and being killed. I tried many times to return to EQ live and could never get past the fact that all of my favorite zones were empty. I envision spending a lot of my time on this server and know that you'll love it too.

Thanks for the welcome, it will be nice to see the old stomping grounds. Being scared to swing at a even con mob because he may kill me lol. I remember thinking the first day of EQ in the beta that this is going to be easy. I mean I went from being a REALLY good UO player to a NOOB in EQ. I actually drowned in the pool in the Dark Elf area. To the much delight of my friend who was beta testing with me. I look back at that moment all the time thinking GOD I hated this game so much because I didn't know how to move around up and down in 3D lol. Ya, I was a noob. Lol good times. Looking forward to it tonight. Hopefully the downloads don't take to long. I have 3mg / 1mg Fiber so I hope it will go fast when I get home.

I agree with playing what you like, but only to a point. If there is a saturation of that class to the point of making it difficult to find groups, you will probably regret it, even if that is what you like playing.

I started as an enchanter, but after several disappointing evenings in the group finding department, I decided to start a druid alt. Sure, I could probably solo with the ench, but that's just it- I don't want to. So, I made the druid to have something to play when I get tired of waiting LFG (and with my patience, that happens fairly rapidly).

I will say that most of the calls I see for LFM are for tanks.
Lol I think that is to be true with all MMO's lol tanks are like healers needed but not much glory :P

Lol nooooo. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

All good anything helps in the beginning. I remember doing the craziest stuff back when I first started playing. Like taking bears out of WC and running them to the zone line killing them down to NO hps. Using my enchanter to wipe their memories and zoning out to let my lowbie friends get the xp for the kill. Oh ya, we got inventive with it lol.

Thanks Shannacore cya in game [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

So I've decided after doing some reading. Halfling Rogue is the way I'll go. Although I've never played a Warrior. Hmmm. Still think Halfling Rogue is fun. We shall see.

I am also in the same boat. I just found out about this today and I plan to join as soon as my download is complete (probably tomorrow sometime). It's good to see an active friendly community as well. I'm thinking I'll probably roll a bard right out of the gates, it's a class I've always wanted to play but never got the chance. It's also nice to see this thread, I'm happy there are others starting out like me =)

One question, how will finding groups be while leveling up? I'm sure most of you have max level characters at this point. But I'm a group person and enjoyed my time grouping in EQ and hope it will be relatively easy to find groups while leveling. Or is everyone max level already at this point.

Glad I found this site and can't wait to join the fun! =)

You'll be surprised at the number of people not at max level. I'm level 23 and as a Warrior have grouped since level 4. It's a lot of fun.
