So for the most part, spell damage should be usable. It's just stuns, roots etc. that become largely worthless when people have gear, and that's both classic and necessary in order for melee to be able to function at all in PvP. Nukes tend to be harder to resist because it can roll for partial damage while CC can just check to see if it lands or not.

fights are easily predicted as you did, ive only seen a handful of players good at certain classes the rest are destined to fail.

FR and CR are very useful but MR is king. MR gets you immobilized and are game over type of spells.

For lulz I just worked out what a barbarian rogue with really good resist gear would have. Didn't include loot from gods and such because nobody can ever expect that, but it includes planar armor and diamond jewelry and all that.

Focusing on MR:
147MR 60FR 70CR

Focusing on FR/CR:
99MR 110FR 121CR

Balanced resists:
119MR 90FR 101CR (it's just the above but with Tranix crown instead of froggy crown)

You don't really start to become almost immune until 150+, and that's if they code the true classic numbers. I have a feeling they'll be a little lenient and make it so 150 is only maybe 50% resistance.

The easy mid-level route to 100MR is possible, but it leaves you with like 30 FR/CR.

Random memory: As an Enchanter on TZ back in the day, I walked around with 255 MR and was invincible...well, until the usual SK's would see me and my day was over. Darkness would rarely fail to stick and that was that. Kunark/Velious timeframe. Could wear 255 MR without fear of losing an item.

Sounds broken. Glad I stopped after Kunark. I tried again once PoP was out and laughed at how rediculous PoK and PoT was.
