Report it as a false positive at your anti-virus vendor's website, add an exception, and move on.

Never mind. Took about a half hour, but figured out how to get it to overlook or exempt that file in my Norton. All good now, back to killing mammoths.

Norton calls it a Trojan Horse. I know Norton ain't perfect, but it's perfect enough to give me pause.

I can't play right now.

Not going to play again until they clear it. I sent a "False Positive" file review request to Symantec today in the hopes that they clear the file for me and put me at ease. Awaiting their response...

I'm using Avast as my antivirus, and I completely disabled it and loaded the game, and am still getting the character loading screen error.

You are missing client files.
from EQChanges.zip.
Please visit project1999.org
and get the latest EQChanges
zip file from the getting
started post and make sure
to extract to your EQ Folder.
(ERRORCODE DLL-1)

This started up Yesterday. I was playing for a while, but had to log briefly. I never shut my computer down, nor did I install anything. I simply walked away from it. When I came back, this started happening.

It doesn't appear to be an antivirus issue, but maybe I'm just doing it wrong. As I mentioned earlier, I did disable Avast, and it still gave me the same error.

Help!
