I played HoN in beta and tried it out some a couple months ago. They got it completely wrong.

I thought LoL was bad with leavers/feeders/ass-holes but HoN is 10x worse. I didn't think it was possible but the HoN community actually IS worse than the LoL community as well.

not true even back in beta I remember kids ragequitting over dumb shit all the time.

HoN is a decent game it just always felt less polished than LoL and I didn't like the game pace quite as much-

And clearly by popular vote LoL is far superior to HoN.

I'm not sure but I'm p sure that even DoTA2 won't be able to knock LoL off the top

Been playing it since closed beta, and been playing Dota for years before that.


If you're looking for a game like Dota and don't want to play the WC3 original, HoN wins. Hopefully Dota 2 will clean up the shit wrong with it.


With my experience, overall HoN has the most skillful community and the most douchey community. I have played a few hundred games in the past two months and I haven't had more than 1 maybe 2 games with a leaver/disconnect.

I Beta tested LoL and have friends who play it religiously... I really don't understand the draw. The game is easier and yet people are still bad... but that was a year ago and so I can't pretend to understand where it stands now.


With the free to play patch, we're gonna see a lot more of the old-school dota and LoL coming through HoN. Tons of leavers, having to buy heroes, and an even worse community.

You played during beta, where there was zero accountability for leaving games. Guess what, I played during closed beta too, as well as well after it. Once it went retail and you had to purchase an account to play, people knew their accounts would get gimped if you reached a certain leave percentage, and nobody really ragequit.

Is the community horrible? yeah
