Even a monk requires pretty stellar gear to solo camp high level dungeon spawns. For exp grinding or mid level camps a monk has it way better thank any other melee by a mile, though.

Most melee solo artist feats involve insane gear. If you aren’t a raider I wouldn’t even daydream about crawling seb or chardok sniping named spawns.

Roll an ench, shaman, necro, or Druid. If you want the best of those for most situations: Ench.
I’ve definitely crawled and solo’d much of Sebilis on my Pally including most of the named (C/E is hard without consumables, and King is impossible) but I’ve done a fair amount of the solo artist challenge. My gear is pretty good but nothing insane. I do have a primal, but otherwise, most of what I’m wearing could be had just by raiding fairly casually for a long period of time, or raiding in a raid guild for a year or so.

Being able to lull your way around the dungeon makes it really doable.

Unless you are a BiS necro with a Willsapper playing some weird mini-game version of EQ like a melee.

I haven’t ventured into seb with my pally. Not the best gear but a passable tank for non raid stuff (5750 fully buffed with a rocksmasher and R9). Maybe with a dawncall weapon I’ll give it a shot. Thanks for the kick in the tail [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I have had more fun and success than I expected doing solo challenges on my bard. It's a tier behind monks for most relevant solo content, I'd say, but better than most people think.

Great gear helps with a bard but the skill ceiling is what makes the class great. Smart people and fast clicks with that class is s-tier.

I have a 60 bard with marginal gear and even worse skill. It’s good to know your limitations in life, lol.

I think top-geared Paladins are pretty underrated here... Kilva's DS or ring 10 + Regal Band DS, a powerful spell set and capabilities for dungeon crawling, and plenty of situational items that help plenty (willsapper, fungi, Tuna sword (root), deepwater helm/bp for mana free heals, deepwater sleeves for mana free pacs, and so much more).
