I personally think everything sucks today because this most recent generation of writers were talentless hacks who had their feelings coddled rather than actual criticism their entire lives. This resulted in shit writing almost across the board, not just in superhero movies. Not even just in visual medium. But that’s only my opinion, who can know for sure

I don't even care about the woke/sjw fight that this is usually framed as. I'm just tired of having to exclusively watch stuff made in the 70s/80s/90s or foreign adaptations with English subs (Chinese Three-Body vs Netflix Three Body Problem) to avoid the torture of having to watch Michael Bay lens flared capeshit with scripts so bad even an AI wouldn't hallucinate them into existence.
