I will tell you why.

1. The items that don't have no drop on them have been farmed to the point they are dirt cheap.

2. Before the population was slightly lower Chardok was ruined for groups from chanters, necros and druids charm farming.

3. The bridge always get trained from failed charms or prepping it all

4. Left over pets there have dual weapons making some sharp damage if an accidental pull or multiple mobs with dual weapons aren't fun to deal with.

But this is almost all true of seb too. Chanters, at least, have been farming every dungeon in the game for sellable droppables since forever. Doesn't stop groups from competing with them in all the other dungeons.

Dual wielding mobs are immediately neutered by any shaman slow or even chanter slow. That's not really a big deal.

I think it's mainly the layout of the zone itself. Getting deep in and then losing a group member is a bigger pita than in other dungeons, like strongNpretty said.

because its easier to half AFK in KC with the rest of the mouthbreathers, join a raid guild, do nothing for DKP, and sell droppables

unrooted dragons and 1 hour FTE lockouts would partially solve this because the real playmakers / contributors would do fine with smaller numbers and the wall-lickers would be left high and dry and forced to farm plat again

but what do i know?

Chardok is scary to most people IMO that is why there is no pug groups.

It's like the Kedge of Kunark.

Seb has a bigger mindshare in most people's heads. They memorized it from playing live.

Seb is visually better designed, the color schemes and aesthetics are intuitive. There's something cozy about bashing frogs. Chardok is just an ugly brown blob and the shrieks are annoying.

Perception that corpse recovery is harder in chardok

No one raids in chardok so less likely to have rogues/clerics camped there.

Harder and more boring to get to. Nothing scary besides greens bashing you in TT. Stuff can still wreck you in SF and BW

Network effect. No one goes so no ones there. No one's there cause no one goes.

Haven't been there in awhile, but when I last visited Seb on Green there wasn't a ton of grouping going on there either.

It seemed pretty similar to Chardok actually, except for the group (or trio) doing King ... but maybe it's picked back up recently?
