Guys I've got a great new formula for a movie:

A dramatization of history where either: The good group of white dudes, representing libs, fights the bad group of white dudes, representing evil colonial yada yada yada.

OR

The bad one-dimensional white dudes are defeated by some flavor of generic minority stereotype (powerful wamens, the noble savage trope, whatever).

Just take any historical narrative and shove it into one of those. Without having seen the movie, I guarantee it's gonna be one of them.
