I get some random flashing occasionally.

If I were to buy a new vid card, any of you have suggestions on quality cards?

I'm gonna assume you have at least a 500w psu if you had an 8800, so you're only really limited by how much you want to spend, and what features you want. If all you're doing is playing EQ, and don't care about enabling higher graphics details on more intensive games, I'd suggest a humble HD 5570. I hate overspending on components when you don't need the extra power. Anyway, that card will run most MMOs decently and wont cost you much.

If you actually do more than EQ, internet, and other basic stuff, what is it? That would help with recommendations.

Yeah, have a 650W PSU, so an underpowered vid card wasn't the problem. I went ahead and got a GeForce 550Ti. Probably way more power than I need, but it was pretty cheap and I may need that power if they ever come out with a decent MMO.

Been on for 15 min now with no flashing or bugged textures, so it would appear that the old vid card was on its last legs. Thanks for your help all.
