NO, actually being a drum and bass dj, i can tell you dubstep is the retarded baby of drum n bass, and jungle, which is also the early version of drum n bass. Being a big fan of the original dub producers like King Tubby and Scientist, my only problem with dubstep as a genre is that much of it is simply mislabeled wobblestep.

Most artists forget the part about the dub. Using a sound sample 500 times in a song doesn't count as dub.
