Greetings! I'm posting this thread as a call to this servers veterans.

I propose for that the entire month of July we all try and Help a newbie a day to get a proper kick off to start the kunark summer!

Help by,
-Providing buffs
-Providing safe travel
-Buying spells
-Offering a few gear slot upgrades

Anything you can think of to help a newbie out! Remember all the times a higher level has helped you out, lets turn it around!

Sounds like hang out in front of town fronts as buff classes month. Sounds good, Luclin/PoP aren't here to ruin this great past time.

Every so often I log in and offer free rezes, ports, and money. Now I won't for the day of july

I think it's a good idea. I see alot of new players on the forums asking for tech help, gameplay advice, guilds to join, and friends to group with. Some are returning EQ players, some are new to EQ altogether.

If helping some of these people out keeps them around, it's good for the server population.

I'm a newbie Erudite Necro and last night a very kind Wood Elf Druid named Hauling not only ported me to NK, but also escorted me all the way to Qeynos and bound me there.

Now I can play with two of my friends who started in Qeynos, and I'm out of the stupid stupid green fog of Toxxulia.

I played a SK up to level 38 back in 2000, but quit shortly after Luclin came out. I've been SUPER excited about this server, and am totally hooked now that I've seen how helpful everyone here is. This place rocks!

I try to do this on a daily basis. Whenever I can, I'll run my enchanter to the usual places and drop clarity / haste on the folks fighting. I can remember when I was in their position and some kind stranger did the same. It's a huge help and really makes one appreciate the great people on the server. Often when players come to buy bronze armor off me, I'll give them some extra stuff to help them out. This not only helps them out a lot, it also gets me out of East Commons quicker. :-)
