I think the Swiftblade is the best thing you can get for lvl 10-19 and it's decent enough for 1-9. I'd grab that and a pair of cheap 2handers for skilling - Sword of Skyfire, Iksar Berserker Club, and one of the RNG only piercers.

There is only one weapon a ranger should be using in primary, and that is a Wurmslayer. And guess what? You ARE the tank. There is a lack of tanks on this server and a ranger is a fine one right up to level 60.
