In a weird way, scarcity is all P99 has going for it. That's why the TLPs are dead and 12 years later there are still people playing P99.

Verina is usually up nowadays tbh on Blue. I've seen it sitting alive after a quake or naturally spawned for hours(or I'm just lucky). Best bet is to just create a level 1 DE and park it at her spawn point and log it in everytime you start/end an EQ session.. that's how I got mine.

Feyenu(sp) use to sell em a bunch at a reasonable price, but I don't see them online much... VD is definitely a poopsock still though, you'll need a friend or two to help you get it the moment it spawns. Is it the way it should be..? Prolly not but as others posted scarcity and the long journey kinda makes it worthwhile.
What’s weird to me about some of these MQ situations is if you keep a mob on lockdown so no one else can kill it so that you can keep killing it for an MQ it’s fine. But hypothetically if you were able to, say, keep that same mob charmed in perpetuity and charge people for the right to kill it I’m guessing you would get suspended for zone disruption. So the result is the same in terms of your limiting someone’s access to the drop but one is legal and the other isn’t oddly enough.

Epic MQ sales should be prohibited

I've started on Enchanter epic, fairly useless epic, just for fun mostly to see if I can haste guild during raids mana free (it has no other value really).

Since this quest cannot be MQ'd, Enchanters only have themselves to blame. If they didn't buy loot rights, it would never be farmed.

It's a unique case, but I really have no pity in this case, because you really only have yourselves to blame.

Also, why would you ever think Enchanter epic is useless? That's just a bizarre thing to say.

- I don't think it is an enchanter specific problem, other classes for sure have same problem. I just don't play many classes, but realistically it's not unreasonable to think almost every class has this problem somewhere.

- "If they didn't buy loot rights, it would never be farmed" = "if you didn't want to pay taxes, they'd never tax you". Just pointing out the naive of the statement. All it takes is rare spawn that can be blocked. There are reasons why there are enforced scout rolls and calendars, to prevent toxic behavior from creating forced middle man.

A lot of people on here just need to seek employment or another reason for living other than everquest. Tis a sad tale.

dude camps VD and will delete the xolion rod if there's not anyone willing to meet his price, and somehow it's not his fault for doing it but is everyone else's instead. big yikes if that's how you think.

Everything about classic EQ is unfair. Not sure in what fantasy land you imagined it to be, but even back on live I distinctively recall sweaty neckbeards farming the crap out of the evil eye for Manastones, the same way everyone and their mom had a level 1 parked in the Assassin room to get the pre nerf guise.

Having time variance, seeing mega zerg guilds park 5 different toons in 5 different targets so they instantly get 50+ on a batphone is equally obscene. Yet they chose to do this. So if they're willing to spend 18 hours cycling on a pop to sell an MQ then it's really their way of wasting time. I find it to be an incredibly inefficient way to spend their time on a very niche MQ market but everyone can waste their time online as they see fit.

The issue isn't so much trying to change the server but finding a solution that works. OP plays probably the biggest cash cow class on p99. Seb NG, Crypt (with help getting in), Disco, ABC, Velks BM, Lower Dogs, Chardok 6+ camps, Howling Stones S, PoM A4 etc.. they have the most ridiculous ways to make cash.

So instead of complaining about some rando lowlife who chooses to spend their time staring at an empty spot for 8+hours, why not spend your time online productively, one big cash items from any of the spots i mentioned means you don't have to sit around at that spot and actually buy the MQ on a schedule of your choice. Don't get mad, get even. That's just my two cents. Obviously if you had the misfortune of being a non enchanter, then yes I feel your pain.
