Any desire to play the ench a bit longer? A mid 40’s ench could farm fine steel at an alarming rate even in like sol a or HK. Heck in HK the exp would get you there quick plus 5-10p a kill.

I still think saving up plat with the ench off trivial kills is going to be better than trying to camp specific gear. In general it is in this game; it’s less romantic but the chances of getting the gear to drop could have you spending hours without payoff.
If compelled to get your own the hard way I’d prob get a dragoon dirk off Dynn in North Ro and a Polished Granite Tomahawk from highpass. Some bronze from HK goblin grouping and camp a runed bone fork. The idea of self-gearing and soloing a warrior is painful but I did this with my rogue on live to a point. A dragoon dirk and PGT are amazing for being so dang easy.

Level 30, even on an Enchanter, isn't quite high enough to solo farm most of the better mid-level staple items. If you're on Green, I assume the Warrens and Stonebrunt are not open yet, so items like the Wakizashi (or that ball been hammer) are unavailable. You're not high enough to solo stuff like the 11/29 swords from Crystal Caverns or any haste item of note. Best you can probably do is save raw platinum and use it on depreciated mid-range Kunark weapons. Something like a 9/19 would offer a huge quality of life boost over a 6/28, or optionally there ought to be a variety of affordable 2H options. To echo Snaggles, I know grinding currency isn't as exciting as looting your own drops, but it's usually the more reliable way of getting stuff done in this game, especially if you're only logging on for hour-ish chunks here and there.

Guys, OP said he's on green.
Sonder, green prices on that stuff is nowhere near as cheap as on blue. It would cost him much more to buy those items (except hp rings are pretty cheap). Loadsastuff, the warrens isn't even out on green yet.

I guess we'll have to split the bill on this one. I was going to recommend some Diamondine or Orc Fang Earrings, and a couple of items from Unrest, but it's all a bit beyond a level 30 Enchanter. IMO, he should probably just keep leveling his enchanter for the time being and maybe reassess at level 40 or so.

Here are some Brand New character tips without spending a fortune.
Buy plain leather armor off a vendor npc. It's affordable and provides decent AC. By affordable I mean it's cheaper than banded and weighs considerably less. https://wiki.project1999.com/Leather_Armor The next thing is a weapon, You can go to Feerrott and ask nicely for a "Scythe" from the people camping spectres. Or fine steel from someone farming herb or flerb. You don't want a "rusty scythe" or a "bronze scythe". Just be polite and keep asking every so often. Kill lizard men in the meantime. https://wiki.project1999.com/Scythe Pre-level 20 you'll be damage capped. With a "Scythe" you will be hitting for 20s. Until you farm up a little plat to hit EC, this thing will carry. https://wiki.project1999.com/Fine_Steel_Weapons Some are better than others.
