Is Green's epic release similar to what happened on Blue?

Everyone forgot about Easter and nolifed to get server first messages

Monks all crammed into a tiny room in KC for hours hoping to grab a pipe

Clerics online 24/7 but actually just afk in sol making it impossible to get a rez

EC tunnel filled with folks WTB epic pieces/mq and dragon scales for 100k+ pp

Farmers angry because of FTE rules and bag limits because they can't camp <fear golems, chardok, or insert other highly needed epic spawn>

Circa 2 days in and people already saying they are going to quit the game because they will NEVER get their epic

Is this how it was on Blue? Is this normal behavior for 30+ year olds? Could something have been done to learn from the past and save us from ourselves, or is this just another CLASSIC [P99] experience??
