Yes. Excuse me because I've always had gear on my melees, except a dwarf warrior with a few bronze pieces but someone gave me gear quick.

We would rather have more people play. And even though some people might be upset of a melee with no gear, ignore them and just play.

There's an entire guild that refuses to twink lowbies and they were and/or are still around.

However, if you're playing for fun, it literally does not matter. Gnome warriors are perfectly viable for grouping and general play.

This and after you play for long, making something like a gnome warrior is a badge of honor.
