What discussion is there to have, and why? We have rnf already

Literally, one person every 3 weeks or so asks on the P99 facebook page about mid level fun guilds, and I just shill for Castle every time. Why bother doing anything else? Rest of the guilds seem to be garbage, or plenty fine without recruiting randos.

Just give access to a couple officers from each guild. Let them make the thread then lock it and allow only them to update it.

Interesting idea. It would still be more work for staff, as every new guild (or change in who manages a guild's thread) would create work for them ... but it would undoubtedly be less work then having to deal with everyone crapping in each others' guild threads.

Wiki still seems like a tool more suited for it though: no special staff permission is required for each guild to edit their own wiki entry.

You just literally said why in your own post. So people can know what guilds are doing what, who is active, who is looking for new people, what they're looking for, etc.
