Defo not classic, but they must have a reason.
It's a P99-classic precedent though. The same happened with the scorpion pincer quest the night they launched Kunark on blue. Crazy XP for the first few hours then it was nerfed hard to the point where you'd only really turn them in for faction :/

Bought 62 belts and 15 pads and went from level 7 to level 8. Just over one full level. I had heard about the nerf but wow that's a big nerf. Kinda feel like a sucker for buying the belts and pads.

Did deathfist belts get hit this hard too?
Pretty sure they only give this marginal xp at low levels.

I didn't keep track but know I did several levels off belts and pads, didnt start turnins before 16 though.

Should maybe look into splitpaw skins being abused by wizards and druids

Please help me understand how the exp per belt increases at 10+ when each single belt turn in now isn't more than 11%.

This isn't true, even in the slightest. I've been in CB longer than I care to admit, and have tried belts at lvls 10-16, and they give a VERY marginal amount of exp at 10+. Even considering the greater exp required per level with each subsequent level, they give terrible return after level 10.

Quest items give a static amount of xp that is independent of level.

its was not classic for the mega abuse of that quest on day 1 so to make the game more classic they nerfed it, which in turn made the game much more classic as people were not hoarding 50+ CB belts on day 1 of classic because they didnt even know about that quest yet

Embrace the suffering. Leveling and acquiring items is the best part of EQ. Enjoy the journey cause the destination is when you lose desire to play and quit
