![]() Based on the content of your post, I would go one of the following 5: Druid, Shaman, Necro, Monk, or Mage.
Druids aren't undesirable in groups until like the early/mid-30s. Until then, they can mostly be effective main healers (with a couple levels here and there right before the get their next healing spell where it can be a bit tough) especially if they have some decent +WIS gear for a sizeable mana pool. Post like 35, you will almost never get a group and should be prepared to quad kite solo the rest of the way. Quad kiting is great chill soloing though; you level really fast due to 4 kills per quad and then sit down and med so you have time to do other things if you need to. Mages, great for both soloing and grouping in the classic era. Downside is you become less needed in groups post-50 and soloing can get tougher as well. Necro, most chill solo class by far. Lich isn't really that annoying, just toss a lifetap or two on the mob and you're good. FD for easy AFKing. A well played Necro can also be a benefit to groups, especially pre-29 when Enchanters don't have clarity so you can help with healer downtime. Shaman, always desireable in groups but can be great "chill" soloers as well. Granted, it can take them a bit to really become effective soloers and they need to be geared to reach their true potential, but with gear they become one of the top 3 solo classes in the game while also being welcome in almost any group. Monk...you're right somewhat gear dependent in terms of weapons for instance, but still somewhat effective chill solo class (kill mob, bind wound, and then FD so you can ADK while re-genning health if you need to) even without gear and of course always welcome in groups. Easier soloing as an Iksar though obviously. | ||

![]() Besides Magician, I recommend Monk. Feign death adds an element you won't get as a magician to being able to chill while playing. They aren't that gear dependent as hands will do just fine. Great in groups and solo just fine.
