Unreliable is fine. Unusable is not.

I don't think anyone is asking for it to be changed back the way it was, but having 210 CHA should at least give me some sort of bonus against the spell breaking 10 seconds in after three repeated casts.

Once (if?) spell agro gets fixed Enchanters will be more fun because groups can pull huge pile of mobs for the enc to mez without fearing that they'll get insta-gibbed as soon as the MA wakes up a new mob.

Eh, if that's the problem you're having just use Mind Wipe (aoe mem blur) after you mez. As long as the tank breaks mez with something besides auto-attack the mob won't even look at you.

Its still viable. You guys must be terrible on your enchanters. AoE stun > all.

How could you even have a problem? ;/

silly chanters, didnt any of u play classic? chanters are not pet classes and they are not solo classes.

during this era they have always been group support classes.

Welcome to Kunark!
There were no mechanic changes between kunark and velious as far as charm went. Then in velious enchanters were charming everything.... The only thing that changed was knowledge.

Sounds like a broad generalization to me. The only time I recall charming in Velious was giants for Kael raids. This was with the full support of a raid to keep unpredictable charm breaks under control with offtanks, healers, shaman / mage debuffs, etc. It's not like Velious came around and some enchanter opened their spell book and was like.... oh shit, I can make something my pet for 5 minutes straight without any risk, why didn't I use this before??

Welcome to Kunark!
THIS.

Seriously. I played an enchanter Kunark, Velious, Luclin, and some of PoP. Never during that time playing during Kunark was charm a viable way of performing as an OP pet class in a group. Enchanters were not used as DPS classes. Perhaps you're all a bit disconnected from the "Crowd Control" responsibilities because of zone overcrowding and lack of mobs to kill. You get the best support buffs in the game. Grouped with the ability to AE Mez / Stun, mind wipe, slow, ToT, debuff and throw some mediocre DoTs / DD's. You are a utility class intended to empower your group mates and keep everyone alive by mezzing, stunning casters and stealing mana.

Why are there so many QQ threads about not being able to DPS with charm pets? Play a pet class instead and sacrifice all the other benefits you have from being an enchanter. If you want to xp with a charm pet I've got a novel idea for you - duo instead. Even during PoP era on Live charm was mostly only viable if you had someone to snare for you.

I do not support the OP because I would like to be able to find a group.
