Have you tried waiting a few minutes for the server to sync? You shouldn't need to reboot.

I ran into this once, where even after an hour I was still getting a 1018. Rebooted the computer and I logged in fine. All I can think is some zombie process is keeping a connection open.

The titanium client still crashes on me while switching characters about 1 out of 10 times even though I've tired compatibility mode. I've only noticed once where it kept me out for more than 5 minutes. The fun part is when you crash just after dropping something on the ground for your other character to pick up!

In my experience if you completely exit the game client before switching to a new character you should not crash while loading into the game. I would recommend doing that if you intend to ground transfer.

But you risk the "unknown error" that way that can lock people out of the game for over half an hour. As long as you are quickyou should be able to make it back in time for a ground drop if you crash. Just make sure your two characters are right by each other and drop item at sub 5 secs.

Waiting a few minutes fixes this. Your in game LD avatar has to go away for you to be able to rejoin. After you LD nothing you do will speed the process up.

Nah I literally still have the error and I made this dumb post this morning. Honestly thought this happened to more people than just me.
