This. TLJ was a mess. 90 percent of the movie was pointless since it turned out that lady leading the rebels had a plan to get them out of it all along. She just kept it to herself even when she learned that her subordinates were going ahead with their own plan and mutineering against her.

And Luke never got around to training Rey (not that she seems to need it anyway).

What a suck fest.

Rogue One was fine, but it really didn't do anything for the franchise. It was like Han Solo in that all it did was give us gratuitous connect-the-dots type story. Do we really care exactly how the Death Star plans were retrieved? Meh... I guess it was better than nothing.
