Put EE on a 30sec spawn cycle and always drops the stone. Make stone lore/no drop.

Make it so you can only get 1 legacy item per account. Only 1 guise, or only 1 manastone, or only 1 beads, etc.

Freaking manastone/list posts make up about a third of the comments and replies here on the forums and actually matter to about 1 percent or less of the people actually in the game playing.

Devs know this, I imagine, and aren't going to put too much more time into these legacy items. I guess posts like this can be fun for their own sake though, as kind of a mental exercise. | ||

I agree the lockout needs to be much longer of lifetime.

How is this a more healthy system? Neckbeards will still just stay awake for tens of hours trying to win the spot on the list as it opens up. It actually just increases the unhealthy situation because someone who would've otherwise been officially on the list for hours and hours might spend as many hours (or even more is a possibility based on your system) just trying to get onto the list in the first place. This literally makes it worse lol

But regardless, my argument was based at its core on what's classic, not what's healthy. On live there was never any guarantee that the guy who could stay awake for 72 hours got the pixels. It's entirely unclassic, and a system that involved randomness (even if that means you could get unlucky) would be far more classic.

Rogean has definitely regretted leaving the manastone in at this point.

Or maybe it was all part of his plan and he sustains himself on nerd rage like myself.

If you want a system that allows sleep just make the list order juggle based on aggregate time spent on the list.

If 3 people are at the camp and they’ve spent a total of 20 hours, 15 hours and 5 hours at the camp, if a Manastone drops the person with 20 hours gets it. But if he instead logs off, and the other two people spend 10 hours at the camp. Then those people have 25 hours and 15 hours total spent there and if a Manastone drops, the guy with 25 hours gets it. But if a guy with 50 hours at the camp shows up, he would become #1 on the list. This is the most healthy way of handling the camp and arguably the most classic. The more repetitions you put into a camp for a single item, the more likely you are to see that single item. Just let people stack up hours on the list if they wish to. Currently unless you’ve cleared 2-3+ days of your schedule in advance you have no reason to list. Which is mostly due to the broken drop rate but still, I think an aggregate time spent on the list is what should determine your position.
