Usually only need like 2 expensive spells per spell level anyways

Completely agree. Each spell level is over 100plat. Ridiculous.

Don't forget to shop around too, especially when it comes to "shared" spells between classes like root, see invis, invis, etc. Ever notice how your guild's vendors tend to all have a level range of spells? If you don't get root until level 34 (necros) you may find the same spell at another vendor for a class that gets it at a lower level at a greatly reduced rate.

I only purchased like 2-3 spells for each new lineup.
By lvl 16 I had 150pp+ in the bank from selling mob trash and went back to buy what I missed. Cracked staff's from from lvl 1-10 humanoid mobs are mini jackpots and sell for a few plat. Sold bone chips to to Necros for a few plat. Sold tons of rusty weapons for plenty of gold early on. I doubt you need EVERY single spell that opens up at each lvl. So just chill once you hit teens and low 20's I was making roughly 100pp each time I went out to grind a lvl. Soon plat wont be and issue so that minor struggle at the start becomes irrelevant very quickly. | ||
