I've seen this giant path there. It only happens when a giant gets trained to SRO. It goes right thru that lake edge on return to its own path.

There's a mummy that paths up there and stop right in front of the infamous "invis wall" camp. Kill that mummy too many times and it pops a sand giant on his path.
