Everfrost is in rough shape on P1999. Always has been. Do your best and try to get out of there as soon as able.

Good news I made it to level 2! LOL Cherry picking the mobs did help a lot, I also got str, dex, and sow too. Probably wont make a barb on Friday but slow will be huge I believe.

The level 1 stuff in halas has level 2 PHs that you cant kill one as a level 1.

I found with a melee character you have to stand insanely close. I was always within range but it seems to help if you are so close an inch more and you would get the cant see your target message.

So I tried the beta, made a barb shammy. Could not kill anything even one on one couldnt kill a spider. Probably I am doing something wrong, but IDK. Also I did search and could not find anything about this.

There was like 50 barb corpses outside the ramp.

Am I just that bad or is there an issue?
That's how spiderlings do, in all zones that have them. They seem to have higher armor class than usual for their level (but still provide the same xp as a mob of their /con)

For everfrost peaks, the tier of newbie mobs, ranked from easiest to most difficult is...

Gnoll Pup > Ice Goblin whelp > Decaying Skeleton > Ice bear cub = Wooly Spiderling > White Wolves > > > > Vengeful Skeletons

Another recent thread someone called it the hardest starting area. Assuming the big crowds at launch young barbarians will do well to group up.
I don't know about that, but polar bear cubs appear in large numbers and link as I recall. Or just aggro, my memory is vague. And you have the occasional guy running in with some Icy Boned Skeletons or something in tow, which typically resulted in a lot of dead lowbies back in the day.

i guarantee you were trying to kill a lvl 2 at lvl one. death is to be expected when you try to kill somehting twice as powerful as you. I am not meaning to be a dick but you have to 'con'; things to see how they match up to you.

this isnt classic wow.

Make sure to always have inner fire on for the first couple\few levels. It helps a lot, and put your first training points into 1hb, then stick to killing decaying skels and gnoll pups\goblin whelps and you can get through 1 no sweat
