i mean technically yes, for some mobs, but if you're gonna comedy tank, you may as well go with a fun class

Well I know there are some INSANE monk only items out there...I don't remember names but ive seen items non-bp that have 65 AC on them and other insane stats...imagine if a monk has EVERY single piece of these pieces of gear...his AC on an Iksar will be insane and hps too...

No amount of hp or ac will close the gap that is defensive disc (unless were talkin like 2k extra hp but monks dont get they they almost always have less

Monks defensive disc only lasts 12 seconds. A warriors lasts much much longer. Plus like they said holding aggro is everything in a raid. Can’t dps a mob down if the mob turns around and mows down your dps. That’s the quickest way to wipe. Monks tank decently in a group setting vs group mobs

True, but the number of clickies used including puppet string pet were insane, in addition to his BIS gear.

It was considered a big deal when he soloed Seb Crypt, whereas shaman do it all the time. And I've never heard of a monk soloing a WW dragon or even an ice burrower like any epic druid can manage. Soloing in Kael and HS and the big league stuff in PoM like charm classes is also pretty much off limits right?

Monks are definitely the strongest solo melee, but I think the Luclin/PoP mitigation nerf was seriously misguided. Basically no one even bothers to play monk on p2002.

Edit: as far as MT'ing and aggro, it is perfectly viable for group content but not raids. Just have someone cast root and stand the closest.

There is nothing that can match a 35% damage reduction for 3 minutes that is on a 10 minute cool down. It's so stupidly out of character for how discs work for every other class that it really makes me wonder WTF Verant/Sony was thinking... It doesn't make sense how out of line it is with every other Disc even in the slightest.

EDIT: Add to that that SK and Pal dont get it and it REALLY makes no sense
