4 guilds are still raiding on Phinigel. Agnarr suffered from a locked content server. Coirnav sufferers because it’s a bad server rule set. Mangler is doing well because it’s a good balance. Now they could release another iteration of it but I don’t think they will.

While I agree with you the locked status of agnarr is probably partially to blame for its death, I'm super surprised it happened. P99 has been locked in kunark and velious for 9ish years and has always been thriving. My original plan was to play p99 for locked golden era eq and play agnarr to get my luclin and pop fix, as everything post pop era doesn't interest me.

I enjoy both, but ancient EQ bores me after a month or so at a time. Melees in particular are much more fun when you have more than autoattack and kick. They have gone a little overboard with some classes as far as activated abilities but recently there was an AA consolidation that scaled that back a bit. As far as boxing/grouping, join a big guild and you will have no issues being single toon.

Lol. I can’t imagine starting over from scratch like I did in 1999. I just don’t have the time now. My current characters are all 20 and less but have been very lucky to have been gifted some nice armor and weapons. I don’t think I’d have that same interest now without that as I did back in the day.

I am disappointed it's not. As bad as the tlps are, Agnarr is the closest to a good PoP server I've found. I think the tlp population on live will just go to the newest server no matter what. They've created a perpetual cycle that now nobody will stay on the existing server when a new one comes out.
