For comparison purposes, the previous "biggest waste of real estate" zone was Western Karana, and takes FOUR minutes to cross it at bard speed. Iceclad is twice as wide as Western Karana /shiver
But if you're waiting for and catching less boats to get across the continent of Velious, you're GAINING time [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Just saw this video and it got me thinking: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80vctFJqoG8

What is the playable area of Project 1999 in square km?

Plus Luclin?

Plus Planes of Power?
They used to announce this for Kunark/Velious marketing, which I assume is why every damn outdoor zone is unnecessarily huge. No clue though. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

When you start thinking about playable area, consider how small Felwithe is for a "city" and how insignificant the towers outside are where the newbie area guards stand :/

Seems correct.

I think travel times make a better metric though. It's all abstract stuff anyway. There are no mountains that are 5 miles high in game, that take an entire day to ascend, and wipe out your character. Unless we consider merbs and boss battles.

That being said, as ridiculous as it is now, the mountain highway/road leading up into highpass from WC, and all the random villages scattered around, down over and back into Kithacor is super immersive for a 1999 video game.

By default, terrains are often measured in Meters
