Can only hope competitive Starcraft catches on in the states, SC1 was big in the states for a good 3-4 years though! With how big WoW is now I would be suprised if this wasnt the same with SC2 or more like 5-6ish years.

I still play SC1 when friends are willing to take a beatdown or at our IV Lans. Online there isnt much done to prevent hacking anymore so its basically pointless to play outside of the Korean competitive scene.

Tons and tons of people playing SC on Iccup. And there is an anti hack launcher that is used.

Starcraft is still going strong. The scene is probably stronger than it's ever been outside of Korea, though a lot of that is in preparation for SC2. Regardless, SC2 will be big even if it ends up being as 'lacking' as WC3. I'm not sure if it will unseat SC (at least in Korea) as easily as a lot of people think, though. It's going to have to stand the test of time just as SC has.

But this is off-topic, haha.

LOL strange. I was going to ask if you were krim from IV as well. Do you remember me? I hung out with you guys in your IRC for a few months before the progression servers launched.

Anyone that plays a game to the point of dying from exhaustion is a tool.
