I personally get offended at those who get offended when someone inspects them.

Whose offense takes precedent?

I don't think I've ever received an upset tell from anyone here on P99 about inspecting without asking but some people will just run away as soon as you inspect them and I assume they are really angry

Yes, the trick is to stay barely out of range whilst avoiding direct eye contact. You don't want them to think you're purposefully running out of range.

Being a very shiny, charismatic druid, I often have to contend with hoards of admirers who wish to inspect the spoils of battle I have collected and strewn about my glorious form. You must treat these devotees similar to an unwashed, muddied dog: still to be recognized but ultimately kept at a distance.

Lmao, I remember back in live when people would "ask" if they could inspect and yes, I remember the people who would get offended too. The best.

I mean it is pretty much the RL equivalent of walking into someones house uninvited and going through the fridge.

I'm sure there are some wack jobs that think it's the equivalent of being sexually violated irl, they're just too scared to get violated in rnf

except instead of random anons its a shark attack of a small clique that posts here all the time. so he's doubly fucked.

yeah it's always funny when people would flip their shit when being inspected. The only server in EQ history where you would be justified in getting defensive would have been on RZ where inspecting someone meant you were trying to decide if they had anything good worth ganking.

Well, I admit to "telling" someone who inspected me: "Usually I get a kiss before someone gets to see my underwear".
But really, I don't give a hoot. It's just a chance to make a joke.
If they inspect me, maybe they will give me an upgrade on some of my gear. That would be better than a kiss, especially from one of those ogre or troll chicks. Ugh!
