I think someone commented on it earlier, but stick to the bigger zones, FP area is bigger than most, EC/NRO/OASIS etc etc. Secondly, something that has to be said, be proactive, I find alot of people *myself included* are less inclined to throw something together, if they see someone else throwing something together they will join. Send tells, be intrusive, look up people your level and just send them a tell, you cant be shy and hope people come to you in this game, you have to just dive in and go for it. Hopefully this helps you some, I know for the people who play a little bit later, its rougher because of less people on, but for the most part, i get tells nightly for groups from people I dont know just because they are trying to throw something together, you just have to stick with it, and be a little more ascertive. *edit* I sound like caesar millan, BE TEH PACK LEADER!!!

Haha. So what classes would you suggest as well with these fine tips you have provided? I was originally a barbarian warrior, and may continue down the path for the sake of people needing tanks.. but I like to be needed.

If you like soloing: Druid, Necromancer, and Mage are all good choices. Shaman and Enchanter are also able, but might be tough in the early levels, especially if you're just getting started on the server. Every class is worth having in a group, but every group can use a tank, Cleric, or (competent) Monk.

My first toon was a necro, only because I knew it would be rough to start anything but a caster from the gate. Honestly, If you can find a good weapon for cheap, the warrior is a fine choice, the problem like im sure you already know is warriors are very very gear dependant, and in my opinion a bad starting option for someone whose just starting, and doesnt play during peak hours. I would recommend a class that has some solo`ability, i dunno it depends on what you want to play, if you wanted to play a melee'r id say the melee'r id pick to start with hands down would be a monk, but it goes back to what you want to play. Play what you have fun with, if you like the warrior, and can stick out your crappy agro until yuo get a decent weapon, by all means, im fairly certain in kunark warriors get a bump.
My suggestion is as a warrior, a barb warrior at that, during the lower levels farm bone chips, all the HQ bear pelts and stuff you can get and flip it in EC, and get a decent weapon, that procs, you should be able to pick one up for a couple hundred plat, bone chips generally sell 10pp a stack *im a necro i buy them for that*, and the pelts, usually someone around will buy them as well. Any way you look at it, if you stick with the warrior itll take a little more work, but with the lack of warriors on this server itll be worth it if you make it to endgame.

Honestly this is much like many other MMO's.
The more you put into it, the more you'll get out of it. If you let yourself get down about the few negative things/people and turn introspective, you won't get much out of it from others. Look for the lowbie groups and find a good guild, there are several here. Those'll be the first and most important keys to rebuilding bonds. It's those very bonds which really make the nostalgic experience.
