"Brad McQuaid has been involved in games development for over 15 years. Brad was involved hands on with EQ for far longer and had far more control than you realize. The fact of the matter is, Sony did not ruin EQ, players did. Sony gave the majority of the players what they wanted, and as a result we have the game as it is today. Sony did not ruin EQ any more thaan Blizzard ruined WoW or Mythic ruined Warhammer.

Simply put, humans are pathetic, greed destroys, evil races in mmo's are always sexier, and all mmo's flame out after a short period because of this.

no, he lost his control after velious/luclin.

his "vision (tm)" did not involve instanced zones, pok-books, ooc heals and everthing else ez-mode that came up after luclin.

it was, in fact, sony.

I think youre confused... Mcquaid and clover made all the lore. etc basicly the whole game in a nutshell.

Smedy is a pimp that had the idea to make eq into a 1st person online rpg.

He owned the company. He hired these guys to create eq.
