I was about to start a thread on this but found Koppo's thread here. I'm just going to add to this. I've been away for awhile and am trying to reacquaint myself with Forum etiquette and procedure.

Like I said, I've been away fro a few months and got on this weekend after the server went Live again. I noticed immediately that the way I did things before was no longer working properly. It was the Brusco's Boastfull Bellow song. (Lvl12.) Before it had an instant recast time and now it seems to have a 30 second recast time.... I too feel a sudden uselessness as my Bard is only lvl 13 and BBB was my lifeline.

I did a little research and found some conflicting reports: Here are the links:

Everquest-Online, Top 1 Gaming and Alkabor.com list BBB as having an INSTANT Recast Time and a 30 second FIZZLE Time.

I hit the Wayback Machine and looked on EQ Diva from May 26th, 2002 which says "Casting Time: 3 seconds / Delay: 3 seconds."

However, Allakhazam has it "currently" listed as a 30 second RECAST Time.

Then, I found at Sony's Station site mention of a July 5th 2007 update. One of the changes listed is "The 30 second global cool down on the bard song Brusco's Boastful Bellow has been changed to a 30 second spell cool down." 2007 is far from EQ Classic....

I'm very confused by all of this. I don't remember there being a 30 second cooldown on this song in EQ Live. There I had soloed my Bard up into his 40's. Now here at this LVL and with this 30 sec cooldown on BBB, I'm trying to figure out what to do. Any thoughts / input is welcome. Thanks.

If it finally interrupts casting then i think the bard community won't care! Otherwise the song is useless once you get your dots.

I'm not going to comment on the state of the current spell file. But I will say that there was a mandatory beta test this weekend and the spell file that was being used that day is the same spell file that is being used on the live server today. So I'm not sure why no bards said anything about these unplayable bugs Friday or Saturday.

I was roaming around Kunark with my bard and didn't notice anything besides the extended charm duration which has already been posted by Lasertag.

It has been reported in the Kunark section of the forums. But I am sure, given enough time it will get fixed, although the impatience displayed by others might slow things down.
