Good luck on a quake when every other Chanter is gating back to Neriak and trying to charm the same merchant while calling for friends...

If you can engage her solo AND have preparked then you have an excellent chance. Got her for my friend’s chanter last year. Had camped my factioned torp shammy there as it was the last few days of the month and we were due one quake. Happened to be playing (on another char) when the quake happened and immediately logged on Shaman and phoned friend. When Verina popped (took a few mins) I malo’d and slowed her and pulled her to ent. It took a few mins for the first chanter to show up. No clue if he would have had the means to solo her or if it would have taken longer for his crew to get there.

Wand of allure, a reaper, maybe even corpse an extra one, and a mana sieve wand will make Verina fairly comfortable to solo.
Yeah, if you're spending that much already then you might as well throw -mr gear and nice aggro weapons on your pet.

Are soulfire clicks paladin-only these days?

But yeah, I assume that the bigger issue than soloing her successfully is being the first to engage her.

FTE isn't bad if your preparked/bound. Few people might attempt to pull it unprepared, but that just makes it easier. Usually 1-2 people will wipe on it before a few guildies show up to help. I prepared enchanter wanting to solo has the best chance, imo.

I don’t think agro weapons will be the most helpful. Lifetap and/or proccing weapons for more DPS to end the encounter sooner or regen the pet is probably best. Extra agro isn’t going to help when charm breaks...

But I’m spitballing. I haven’t even seriously considered the camp yet.

In my Experience for Vessel it is sufficient to have fast reacting friends/guildies. Attended 3 or 4 kills so far in which only a tracker was preparked. In 2 or 3 of those kills others showed up after we engaged or killed Vessel, so was kind of close.

Verina you need "something" that can FTE asap and survive until kill force shows up. I parked my shaman there and tanked it until guildies arrived who were close. If I had Torpor I could have solod Verina I guess.

She’s soloable with torpor for sure. She will go oom before 40% so cheals won’t be an issue. She nukes for around 650-700 and hits for around 180-220 from memory. Not easy but definitely doable.

Your level 50 pet won't land lifetaps on a level 60 mob, let alone other procs. Hell, a level 50 pet hardly lands ykesha procs on level 52-53 mobs. But aggro from procs happens even if they resist, I believe, so I figure the aggro weapons can't hurt, they might let you avoid needing to mem blur after an early charm break+wand recharm.

I did the epic a year ago or so and spent a couple months tracking both Verina and Vessel.

Leave rushing to them on quake / server reboot to people who don't know better. You're a chanter, use your brain. Both mobs are casters and will start casting their buffs immediately upon popping.

Set up a Gmail account if you don't have one already. Add it to your mobile phone. Find the most annoying and loud ringtone you can find on the internet and set it as the notification sound for emails which have a subject starting with 'POP:' (Gmail allows that, find a guide somewhere).

Park a level 1 character near the spawn spot and set a GINA trigger (or a 1-line shell script if you run Linux / MacOS and have half a brain) to watch your EQ log file for "<mob of interest> begins to cast a spell" and send you an email when this happens. The email's subject must begin with 'POP:'

Make sure the whole chain works by testing it on common caster mobs somewhere.
Now just log on your tracking mule near Verina or Vessel (doesn't have to be LoS - casting message can be "heard" through walls) whenever you don't play your real characters, and wait to be notified of the mob popping.

This guide works for any caster mob really. I got both Verina and Vessel with minimal effort this way.

From my experience, both Verina and Vessel will be highly contested when they pop. You really have only few minutes to engage the mob. But since with my method, tracking them is so easy, you can afford losing a few spawns to competition and get it when you get it.

That sounds like a very solid method. Though you don’t need to min/max at EQ like this to get them. In my experience tracking method matters less (with Verina anyway) than your ability to FTE her FAST and survive until she’s down or your friends have shown up.
