It is nice not getting eye pains from playing EQ anymore. It used to bother me a lot after a couple of hours back on live..

I don't mind the enhanced textures. I can see the difference. Although it didn't make an impact on how I felt about the game.

Different story for the character models though...

New textures were added in Velious. I remember the Rygorr armor and the Guardian armor looking really sweet. I camped Guardian armor in Skyshrine for weeks to get a full set.

I remember some helms having sweet new looks in Velious as well. Helm of the tracker maybe?

new textures were added, new armor etc. But old world didnt get new textures until Luclin. The changes shown in the video are Luclin changes not Velious.

You won't appreciate the textures to their full extend until you play in 1920x1080 .. the difference was gigantic. Also, thanks for the nostalgia trip this vid gave.
