While my friends and I are being patient, I hope that a lot of you realize that this is a major barrier preventing many people from playing the game. Many people these days have laptops and play with their friends. When they have to go home and be by themselves to play, it really sucks out a lot of the fun. I wish I could understand why there couldn't be some community volunteers that just worked on this.

So yeah... we are being patient... but if we have to wait a month before we can play in the same house?? I don't know if I'll be able to get my friends into it if they realize they have to wait a month before playing in the same room. Playing in the same room is a huge part of the fun for us. Good thing I don't have a roommate who wants to play as much as I do.

I would think that if we want p1999 to grow, that this would be a bigger priority. All the delays are doing, is preventing new players from getting into the game.

Thank you devs for this great server. I don't mean to bitch... I love this server and am so thankful for all the work done. We just want to enjoy this server together and not be forced to only play while alone in our respective homes.

QFT.

Unfortunately, this alone has prevented me from being able to play with my fiance or my father. It's also prevented a few of our friends from playing as they can't play together in their respective homes.

I'd rather donate to P99 for their efforts, but without an IP exemption or some other means of fixing it, I'd have to pay for a proxy service instead.

Lifting the IP exemption would negate a lot of problems such as this. Just make sure people are aware of the penalties of 2boxing and ban the ones that take advantage of it. If people are playing multiple characters to camp coveted items/mobs, it will quickly become evident. I don't know what the petition load currently looks like for GMs. I know it was god awful in classic waiting hours and hours for a reply from a GM, and I can only assume the P99 crew is understaffed for such efforts, but waiting so long to enjoy your hard work with family and friends is almost a deal-breaking penalty.

I completely understand that at this current time, it's a PITA for them to deal with IP exemptions when they are trying to bang out the final kinks of Kunark.

That being said...I have THREE room mates that play. We all played when we were younger and have somehow managed to live together at this point in time. So that makes FOUR total IP exemptions to be had. The fourth took a bit of convincing to start playing again, but eventually got on board.

It took about 3 weeks to get the IP exemptions for the original three of us. However, one of the accounts is screwing up and getting the Temp Banned message when the fourth room mate WITHOUT the IP exemption is on. Likewise, if the same account WITH the IP exemption is online, the room mate WITHOUT the exemption yet cannot log in. No issues with the other two accounts being on and preventing the other two.

Did yall even understand that? ;/
