Most likely blood, since the backstory of unrest involves some dude (gynok) killing all the residents and getting cursed to stay and haunt the place
Edit : Also, if it was lava, it would be somewhat unique, as it would be the only continent with a single lava pool (afaik) Antonica - Sola/Solb/Solro/LS/? Odus - None? Faydwer - None? Kunark - Vp/SF/? Velious - Unsure, headmap incomplete.
