Tower of Frozen Shadows probably falls under the 'something a bit different category', and I'm fairly sure you could give the first floor a decent go already.

Less off the wall are the Karanas. It supports a lot of characters. You could grab mal/befriend a bull elephant and go to work on centaurs, avaiaks, treants, gnolls or even other elephants. Some of the lower griffon type mobs should becharmable in north/east (and they hit like trucks).

I believe Overthere also has charm option for shaman too. I appreciate you need a 5 level lead on the target, but that just helps reduced early breaks and it is kind of fun to play around with charm for the 4 levels before you get a real pet.

Shamans are group characters best to go find a group. And EQ isn't meant to be played alone. If you want to play alone I'd suggest all of the modern live MMOs for which that is why people are playing here.

EQ is also about exploring all of the world my friend. And I started playing this game about two weeks after it came out so I think I got a handle on what its about brother. And if you would bother to read the post I was reaching out to try new things. I was killing frogs in guk and dogs in solB back in 99 whats wrong with trying new things?

I was just in HK at 24 but I was a bit low lvl. I might have to go back to that thanks for the tip. Got my ToV book this morning yea for having to wake up mega early for work! lol
