Positive experience with an Awakened member

It is refreshing to hear my experience isn't a rarity. I know all too well what the endgame can turn into. I played as a main tank in the top guild on my server. Experienced the Sleeper's Tomb, Dain, Velk, AoW, VP, and all the other races on a weekly basis. For the most part, it was a griefless race to engage with little drama. The times it wasn't all hell could and usually would break loose. Looking back on all of the memories some of the best were the leveling experience and helping guildmates/friends complete epic quests after Kunark release. EQ live introduced me many lifelong friends who I still remember vividly.

I hope that by the time we reach level 60 the endgame calms down a bit as people retire to other hobbies or games. My wife never got to experience the game and we are having a blast so far.

I was finishing up my jBoots quest the other day and a member of awakened saw me camping the shadowed rapier. After I got all the parts together he ported me to feerrott and ran to the rathe mountains with me. Then he tracked the ph that was up, showed me where they spawn and SoWed and gave me a strength buff to help with all the gold I was carrying.

Would have taken me hours to do all that without his help.

One time we were in a heated bloodthirsty battle in TOV for raid mobs. I zoned out to get a sow but there were no aftermath druids to be seen. I hailed the Awakened Druid and low and behold he began to cast a spell. A rush of adrenaline surged through my body and I raced back to the line to stare at a wall for another 31 minutes before the SoW fell.

Did this awakened druid know who I was or was he fooled by my tomato like gnome figure? I will never know, but thank you for saving me the potion click, kind traveler.

fyi you can run through the bars if u go hold right click and hold w+a or w+d sort of perpendicular to the bars.

Every raid guild on the box has good people in it. It's just the percentage that might fluctuate a bit. I've had very few problems with any individual in any guild on this server outside of the raid scene. Solid group of people generally.

I'll give the other side, I haven't played in over a year since an Awakened group jacked my hiero cloak spawn in sebilis. It was real scummy and shameful stuff thats turned me off to playing this game.
